Damage to your supercharger could occur if:

Supercharger Packing Instructions Are Not Followed

Most superchargers shipped to PSE, even with our verbal packaging suggestions arrive damaged. This is hugely due to the customer not following our instructions, and is not shipping company’s abuse. Please read these instructions carefully. Insufficient packaging of your supercharger can result in costly damages.

We may have a shipping container that fits the shape of your supercharger. Call us to see if we have a container available. You will be responsible for the cost of shipping the empty box to you and then returning the empty box when all work has been completed. In addition, you will be responsible for paying the cost of shipping the Supercharger to us and then shipping the remanufactured supercharger back to you.

If we ship a box to you and you don’t send in your supercharger, you will be charged an additional $25.00 to cover the non-returned shipping box.

Please follow these packing suggestions.

REMOVE THE VACUUM ACTUATOR:

If your supercharger is equipped with a vacuum actuator, please remove it from the supercharger. (This is the black, round vacuum pod that has a metal rod coming from it that opens and closes a bypass door inside the supercharger, their is also a vacuum hose connected to it.) Do not strip the two 5mm Allen head bolts. Please wrap this vacuum actuator separately to protect it and carefully pack it along with your supercharger, and include all bolts in a separate bag. If it gets damaged or it’s just plain worn out and doesn’t work, the replacement cost is $125.00 for a new one and if we have a good used one in stock it is $75.00. The only exception to this is any Tan or Light Grey colored TRD 3.4 superchargers. You can leave the actuator on. But if you have a Black TRD 3.4, take the actuator off. See instructions below.

1. Only ship the supercharger, supercharger pulley, and nose cone or cover.

2. Remove oil drain or fill plug from the supercharger and drain all oil.

3. Place your supercharger in a very strong thick plastic bag and seal it with tape.

4. Supercharger must be wrapped with appropriate, strong material. Use cardboard, small bubble “Bubble Wrap” (less than ½ inch bubbles) If you use bubble wrap, continue wrapping the supercharger around and around 20 times. You can also use an old large bath towel (please wash first).

5. Roll your supercharger up like a burrito over and over again, I repeat over and over again, make sure that you also completely cover the front and back of the supercharger and tape excessively.

6. Do not include any manifolds or other items unless you intend to be charged for cleaning and maintenance on these items. This could result in an extra $125 to $375 dollar charge.

7. If you are shipping additional items, protect them the same way as your supercharger.

8. Place your supercharger in a box that is not much bigger than your packaged supercharger and fill in any corners or pockets with newspaper balls that are balled up and squeezed tightly together.

9. Do NOT use; Packing Peanuts, Air bags, or soft foam.

Remember UPS and FedEx will throw, kick, toss, and make every attempt to destroy your package without even thinking twice.

TRD Matrix, Corolla and Pontiac Vibe Customers:

Please include your idler pulley that is attached to the alternator relocation bracket and your belt tensioner assembly for inspection. This is very important! You may need to lift your engine about 1-inch to remove the bolt securing your belt tensioner.

Saleen, Allen, Magnuson customers. Please use our shipping box.

INFORMATION SHEET:

Fill out the information sheet we have provided, and be sure to place it in the box with your supercharger. If you do not send your paperwork, it will slow down the repair process until we find out whom it belongs to.
